The association Humus, based in Petrinzel, Romania, is committed to preserving old traditional fruit and vegetable varieties. Through various activities and projects, we aim to create and maintain the highest possible biodiversity. We operate a propagation and display garden, a garden library, and a seed collection. Many supporters from the region grow the old varieties from the seed collection in their own gardens. This ensures that the seeds remain healthy and adaptable.

It is a great concern to us that our fellow human beings enjoy gardening, regardless of whether they live in the city or the countryside, whether they are young or young at heart. That's why we promote the cultivation of perennial, robust, low-maintenance, local varieties.
